This decision, announced under Decision No. 1746 signed by Minister Nguyen Van Hung on June 11, 2025, reflects the country’s confidence in Mr. Norman’s ability to elevate Vietnam’s position as a global golf tourism destination.

Greg Norman is a globally recognized golf legend. A former World No. 1 golfer, he spent 331 weeks atop the Official World Golf Rankings during the 1980s and 1990s. Known as “The Great White Shark,” Norman boasts 91 international tournament victories, including 2 Open Championship titles, and is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame.

Following his competitive career, Norman transitioned into a business leader, heading Greg Norman Golf Course Design, one of the world’s most influential golf design firms.
