Vietnam to Transform an Island into Stunning Golf-Resort Paradise

Quang Ninh Province in northern Vietnam has ambitious plans to develop a 1,000-hectare island into a premier Vietnam golf tourism destination featuring a 27-hole course.

New Golf Course in Ha Long

The proposed complex on Nui Cuong Island spans nearly 1,080 hectares, with over 670 hectares dedicated to development planning and the rest allocated for forest and marine resource research. The island will also encompass luxury resorts and seafood farms catering to tourists. Additionally, portions of the island will be reserved for forestry and marine research.

Ha Long is situated approximately 170 kilometers (106 miles) to Noi Bai International Airport, typically takes between 2.5 hours by car. And to Hanoi, the capital, is about 165 kilometers (102 miles), with a travel time of ~3 hours.

Magnificent Golf Course Projects in Ha Long, Vietnam

Nui Cuong Island, also known as Cuong Mountain Island, is nestled in Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its breathtaking natural scenery, limestone karsts, and diverse ecosystems. This stunning location is set to offer a spectacular golfing experience, poised to captivate golfers who visit the course in the future.

Currently, the region already boasts six exceptional golf courses in the Quang Ninh and Hai Phong areas: FLC Ha Long Golf Club, Tuan Chau Golf Resort, SONO BELLE Hai Phong Golf Club, BRG Ruby Tree Hai Phong Golf Club, Dragon Golf Links, and Vinpearl Golf Hai Phong, each offering unique and spectacular golfing experiences. Additionally, an 18-hole golf course in Dong Trieu is set to open later this year. The area is also home to The Golf Hub, one of the country’s top training facilities for many Vietnamese junior and professional golfers.

Beyond the golf course, Nui Cuong Island will feature a range of other amenities, including an amusement park, a yacht dock, a cultural and exhibition center, and a marine ecological conservation zone.

As part of a broader initiative, the province plans to launch the construction of five golf courses by 2025.
