Anvaya Cove Golf Club is an 18-hole championship golf course located in Morong, Bataan, along the western coastline of the Philippines. Designed by Kevin Ramsey of Golfplan and officially opened in 2013, the course spans approximately 82 hectares and measures around 7,200 yards, with a par of 72. What makes Anvaya Cove particularly distinctive is its spectacular setting between mountains and the sea, where golfers can enjoy diverse natural terrain alongside panoramic views of the coastline and the surrounding Zambales and Bataan mountain ranges. The course design also reflects a strong commitment to sustainability, preserving existing mature trees, native vegetation and the natural landscape wherever possible.
The layout is divided into two distinctive sections: the Mountain Nine, comprising the first nine holes, and the Seaside Nine, featuring the back nine. The Mountain Nine winds across hilltops and mountain slopes, offering elevated views of the sea and surrounding mountains. Its constantly changing terrain, rolling fairways and natural woodland areas require careful shot selection and strategic course management. In contrast, the Seaside Nine delivers a more pronounced coastal golfing experience, with several holes approaching the shoreline, natural conservation areas and expansive ocean views. The stretch from holes 11 to 13 is particularly memorable. The 11th is a short par 4 that offers an opportunity for an aggressive approach, while the 12th is a long par 4 descending towards the beach. The 13th, a par 3, is recognised as the course’s signature hole. The transition between mountainous terrain and coastal scenery gives each nine a distinctive character and creates a varied playing experience.
By making the most of its natural surroundings, Anvaya Cove Golf Club offers a multifaceted challenge through elevation changes, strategically designed fairways, wooded terrain and holes influenced by coastal winds. Multiple tee options make the course accessible to a range of golfers, from developing players to experienced golfers seeking a championship-level test. Beyond its impressive mountain and ocean scenery, Anvaya Cove is also distinguished by its environmentally conscious approach, with the layout designed to blend into the existing ecosystem rather than dramatically alter the natural landscape. It is one of Bataan’s notable golf destinations, offering a memorable combination of sporting challenge, coastal scenery and the natural beauty of the Philippines.
