Quang Ninh Province has officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement with the World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC) and FLC Group, with the goal of hosting the World Amateur Golfers Championship (WAGC) World Final 2027.
The partnership marks a significant milestone in Quang Ninh’s golf tourism development strategy while creating an opportunity for Vietnam to become the first host of the WAGC World Final, one of the world’s most prestigious amateur golf championships.
If the plan moves forward as scheduled, the WAGC World Final 2027 will welcome top amateur golfers from countries and territories around the world, further strengthening Vietnam’s reputation as an emerging international golf destination.

Under the agreement, Quang Ninh Province, WAGC, and FLC Group will work together to develop a roadmap for hosting the WAGC World Final in 2027. Beyond delivering a successful championship, the partnership aims to promote Quang Ninh as a premier golf destination, attract international golfers, and support the sustainable growth of Vietnam’s golf tourism industry.
As part of the collaboration, FLC Group will play a key role in preparing the infrastructure, event operations, and hospitality ecosystem required to host an international championship.
FLC currently operates an integrated hospitality portfolio that includes:
- Five integrated resorts and tourism complexes across Ha Long, Sam Son, Quy Nhon, Phu Tho, and Quang Tri.
- Nearly 10,000 hotel rooms and villas serving both leisure travelers and large-scale events.
- Five international-standard golf courses designed to accommodate domestic and international golfers.
- Five convention centers, each with a capacity of up to 1,500 guests.
- A fully integrated ecosystem combining golf, luxury accommodation, meetings and events, dining, and entertainment within a single destination.
This extensive hospitality network is expected to provide the infrastructure and services required to support the WAGC World Final 2027 while delivering a seamless experience for golfers, partners, and international visitors.
