Saujana Golf & Country Club (Palm Course) is one of Malaysia’s renowned championship golf courses, located within Saujana Resort in Shah Alam, Selangor, approximately 17 kilometres west of Kuala Lumpur city centre. Designed by the renowned American golf architect Ronald Fream and his Ronald Fream Design Group, the course opened in 1986. Palm Course features 18 holes, a par of 72, and a total length of approximately 6,992 yards from the back tees. Built on the grounds of a former oil palm plantation, the course is characterised by mature palm trees and naturally undulating terrain. It is also nicknamed “The Cobra” for its challenging layout, which demands strategic thinking and precise shot-making.

Palm Course stands out for its hilly terrain, winding fairways framed by mature oil palms, and a combination of bunkers, natural slopes, and contoured greens. The fairways are covered with Bermuda grass, while the TifEagle greens provide a smooth yet demanding putting surface that requires excellent touch and distance control. Its design blends tropical scenery with strategic challenges, particularly on holes featuring elevation changes and greens protected by hazards. One of the course’s most memorable features is the par-3 2nd hole, measuring approximately 172 yards. Recognised as the signature hole, it has also earned a reputation as one of Malaysia’s most challenging golf holes.

With its championship-standard design, Palm Course has hosted the Malaysian Open on multiple occasions, welcoming leading professionals from the Asian Tour and European Tour. Beyond the golf course, Saujana Golf & Country Club offers a wide range of facilities, including a clubhouse, restaurants, a 300-yard driving range, and an extensive short-game practice area. Other amenities include an Olympic-sized swimming pool, two tennis courts, and sauna facilities. The combination of a challenging championship layout, lush tropical surroundings, and resort-style amenities makes Palm Course an appealing destination for golfers seeking a premium golf experience in Selangor.
